    • Assistance in securing long-term housing that suits your needs
    • Guidance on budgeting and debt management support
    • Access to furniture, bedding and household essentials
    • Support for underlying issues causing hardship
    • Access to food, clothing and toiletries
    • Access to phones, digital support and the internet
    • Assistance with appeals
    • Support with correspondence, bill management, and developing life skills to maintain your home
    • Opportunities to integrate into the community, reducing isolation and building social connection
    • Guidance on applications and employability opportunities
    • Referrals to internal and external agencies
    • Advocacy and support in the community
    • Social inclusion activities

    Individuals are not required to be housing-ready before moving into their home: rather, secure housing is a stable platform from which to address other issues

    Offers digital skills, budgeting help, and access to services including:

    • Access to digital devices and assistance to improve confidence with basic IT skills
    • Support for navigation and access of essential services such as Universal Credit, energy and data providers, banking, searching for jobs, voting, or connecting with community resources
    • Online safety and security
    • Mentor and enable people to manage household budgeting and income maximisation
    • Empower people to access further learning, training and employment opportunities

    Who it’s for

    Anyone over the age of 16 (including those who have no recourse to public funds) who is:

    • A women experiencing domestic abuse, coercion, harm, trafficking or exploitation
    • Or adults of any gender affected by childhood abuse or hate crime

    How it helps

    Current abuse and violence: access to safe accommodation and helping people to manage risk and make their situation safe. 

    Including:

    • Support to remain safely in own accommodation
    • Support to identify alternative accommodation
    • Safety planning
    • Emotional and practical support
    • Providing personal and home security items
    • Crisis intervention
    • Advocacy
    • Access to wider housing and homeless support
    • Referral to other agencies.

     

    Historical abuse: The journey belongs to our service user, and we are simply here for them.

    Offering:

    • A safe space
    • Access to trauma-informed support
    • Support with anxiety and emotional stability
    • Practical support with finance, housing, and debt management issues
    • Healthy coping and harm reduction
    • Signposting and connections to other agencies

    Referrals are made through Aberdeen Health and Social Care Partnership and Social Work within three strands of support needs:

    • Adults needing support to live independently
    • People with mental health needs or requiring home care
    • People affected by alcohol and substance related harm

    How it helps

    We deliver practical and emotional support to identify and agree achievable and aspirational goals and care plans tailored to individual needs.  This includes:

    Care at Home

    • Home visits to provide personal care
    • Support with taking medicines
    • Meal planning and preparation
    • Hygiene support
    • Housekeeping support
    • Supporting access to other services

     

    Independence Support

    Practical and emotional support to:

    • Enable individuals to maintain their tenancy within their local community
    • Develop living and self-care skills
    • Increase employability
    • Accompaniment and advocacy
